Our client, a well-established international logistics and freight forwarding organisation, is seeking an experienced Trade Compliance Coordinator to join their Key Accounts team based s is an excellent opportunity for a customs or trade compliance professional looking to develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities Support the movement of goods across international borders while ensuring customs compliance. Classify products using the correct tariff and commodity codes. Provide guidance on UK import requirements for goods arriving from the EU. Support the Head of Trade Compliance and wider operational teams. Audit customs entries to ensure compliance with UK import and export legislation. Prepare customs documentation and declarations for import and export shipments.

Liaise with HMRC regarding customs procedures and compliance matters. Maintain CITES records, including uploading import and re-export certificates. Produce KPI reports and management information within agreed deadlines. Create and maintain standard operating procedures and process documentation. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency. Carry out regular compliance checks and provide reports to management. Key Skills Previous experience in Customs, Trade Compliance or Freight Forwarding.

Strong knowledge of UK and EU customs regulations. Good understanding of commodity codes, tariffs, customs valuation, Incoterms and rules of origin. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines. The ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player. Monday to Friday working hours (8:30am 5:30pm)
