CCTV Drainage Engineer
Location:
Thames Water Iver South, Colnbrook, Berkshire. Job type: permanent, full‑time.
Hours:
4 on 4 off, 40.25 hours (including early and late shifts). Salary: £32,000 per annum (basic pay plus night premium, overtime and bonuses). Benefits: 21 days holiday (plus bank holidays), health cash plan, free onsite parking, auto‑enrolment pension scheme, friendly working environment.
Due to continued growth and development, we are looking for customer‑focused people to join our Utility Division on the Thames Water contract, delivering real and effective solutions to waste‑water network and drainage problems.
- Travel to residential sites in a two‑man crew around the West London area using a custom‑equipped fleet of high‑tech vans.
- Survey the network of drainage systems.
- Assess pipe conditions to produce high‑quality reports with state‑of‑the‑art drain‑surveying equipment.
- Ensure jobs attended are completed.
- Troubleshoot any problems that arise on the job.
- Liaise with the team of Technical Specialists regarding access and equipment issues.
- Ensure safe site set‑up.
- Update the job notes on VISTEC.
- Ensure photos are taken of the set‑up, inspection chamber and whole site.
- Deliver good customer service.
- Maintain good health & safety practice while carrying out works.
- Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards them.
- Carry out reasonable ad‑hoc tasks, projects or duties as requested by management.
What is essential is the ability to work safely, diagnose quickly and deliver practical and efficient solutions to attain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
About YouThe ideal candidate will be hard‑working, respectful, and compliant with health and safety standards. Experience in the use of high‑pressure jetting equipment is useful but not essential. Other drainage qualifications (e.g. NRSWA and confined spaces) are an advantage.
