Hours:
4 On 4 Off, 40.25 hours (working both early and late)
Salary: OTE £50,000 per annum (basic pay, overtime, on‑call allowance and bonuses)

About the RoleDue to continued growth and development, we are looking for customer‑focused people to join our Utility Division, working on our Thames Water contract service to deliver real and effective solutions to waste‑water network and drainage problems.
- Travelling to residential sites via an HGV in a two‑person team, around the region, powering a high‑pressure water jet for restoration
- Clean, clear and maintain drainage systems
- Record each job report correctly on the specialist equipment provided
- Run diagnostics and repairs on drains
- Deliver good customer service
- Maintain good health and safety practise while carrying out works
- Ensure vehicle stock is full and replenished
- Comply with health and safety responsibilities, i.e. PPE / safe site setups protecting employees, the public and other road users
- Utilise VISTEC and Salesforce platforms
- Operate JHL specification vacuum tankers and associated equipment
- Safely access vehicle cabs, sites and offices using correct procedures (e.g., three points of contact…)
- Manipulate (including loading and unloading to / from tanker pipe storage trays) flexible pipework in a safe manner utilising correct manual handling techniques
- Work unsupervised in all weather conditions, wearing correct PPE or utilising the lone worker system
- Dynamically risk assess site access and working conditions depending on specific circumstances on arrival
- Liaise with the client regarding process and any updates
- Provide support to your colleagues
- Conduct thorough inspections of tools, equipment and plant before and after use
- Report any defects or malfunctions
- Carry out risk assessments and have a mature approach to risk perception
- Be aware of all group policies and your responsibilities towards them
- Any other reasonable ad‑hoc tasks, duties or projects as requested by management
The ideal candidate will be hard working and respectful and comply with health and safety standards. Experience in the use of high‑pressure jetting equipment is useful but not essential. Other drainage qualifications (e.g., NRSWA and Confined Spaces) are an advantage.
You must have a minimum of a HGV Class 2 licence, completed the CPC, and have an up‑to‑date tachograph card.
