Monday to Friday, 40 hours plus every other weekend (working both early and late shifts)
Salary: OTE £37,000 per annum (basic pay, overtime, on call allowance, and bonuses)

About the RoleDue to continued growth and development, we are looking for customer-focused people to join our Utility Division, working on our Thames Water contract service to deliver real and effective solutions to waste‑water network and drainage problems.
Key Responsibilities- Travel to residential sites in a van, traveling around the region, to power a high‑pressure water jet for restoration
- Clean, clear and maintain drainage systems
- Record each job report accurately on the specialist equipment provided
- Run diagnostics and repairs on drains
- Deliver good customer service
- Maintain good health and safety practice while carrying out works
- Ensure vehicle stock is full and replenished
- Comply with health and safety responsibilities, e.g. PPE, safe site set‑up protecting Lanes Group employees, the public, and other road users
- Utilise VISTEC and Salesforce platforms
- Work unsupervised in all weather conditions, wearing correct PPE and utilising the lone worker system
- Dynamically risk assess site access and working conditions depending on specific circumstances on arrival
- Liaise with the client regarding process and any updates
- Provide support to your colleagues
- Conduct thorough inspections of tools, equipment and plant before and after use
- Report any defects or malfunctions
- Carry out risk assessments and take a mature approach to risk perception
- Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards them
- Complete any other reasonable ad‑hoc tasks, duties or projects as requested by management
The ideal candidate will be hardworking, respectful and compliant with health and safety standards. Experience using high-pressure jetting equipment is useful but not essential. Other drainage qualifications (e.g., NRSWA and confined spaces) are an advantage. You must have a full UK driver’s licence as our vehicles are all manual.
