Mobile Plant Engineer
Slough | £38,000 - £41,000 + Overtime

NEOS Engineering are working with an established business within the plant and equipment sector
, who are looking to add an experienced Mobile Plant Engineer to their team.

This is a hands-on role working primarily on construction and plant equipment
, carrying out servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repairs both in the workshop and out in the field.

As a Mobile Plant Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of plant and construction equipment
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
• Attending customer sites to carry out repairs and servicing
• Preparing machinery for hire / return and ensuring equipment is safe and operational
• Completing service reports and relevant maintenance documentation
• Working closely with customers and the wider engineering team
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety at all times

The role is predominantly focused on mobile plant and construction equipment
, so experience working on machinery such as:

• Excavators
• Dumpers
• Telehandlers
• Loaders
• Rollers
• Generators
• Other construction / plant equipment

would be highly beneficial.

We're looking for someone with:

• Previous experience as a Plant Engineer, Plant Fitter, Mobile Plant Engineer or similar
• Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding experience
• Experience working on construction or heavy plant equipment
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• A full UK driving licence
• A strong focus on safety and quality

NVQ / City & Guilds qualifications in Plant Maintenance, Land-Based Engineering or a similar discipline would be advantageous, but practical plant experience is the key requirement
