Emergency Planning & Resilience Manager

• Pay Level: 8, £48,277 - £53,509 (fully inclusive of local weighting allowance)

• Working Hours: 37 hours per week
• Location: Observatory House/ Slough Hybrid (minimum 3 days per week in the office)
• DBS requirement: Basic

The Emergency Planning & Resilience Manager will lead, manage, motivate and develop the Emergency Planning and Response teams within Slough. The postholder will coordinate multi‑agency and where necessary cross‑Berkshire working; and to maintain a comprehensive, regularly audited and updated suite of emergency plans, procedures and the equipment to implement them - covering the full breadth of risk from individuals and communities to borough‑wide incidents - in order to fulfil the Council’s duties under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004.

• 26 days annual leave (not including Bank holidays), rising to 30 days between 2 - 5 years' service and 33 days after 5 years' service.
