Reporting to the Associate Director Estates & Facilities, the postholder will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of Facilities and Support Services across Wexham Park Hospital, CDC, Heatherwood Hospital and Community sites.

The role provides strategic and operational leadership for a wide range of Soft FM services, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-focused services that support the Trust's strategic objectives, regulatory requirements and commitment to excellence in patient care.

The postholder will be responsible for the operational and strategic management of:

• Catering Services, including patient feeding and staff catering services.
• Domestic Services, including planned and reactive cleaning.
• Portering Services.
• Security Services.
• Linen and Laundry Services.
• Waste Management Services.
• Pest Control Services.
• Window Cleaning Services.
• PLACE and Premises Assurance Model (PAM) performance for Soft FM services.
• Associated Facilities contracts and contractor management arrangement.

Main duties of the job

The General Manager Facilities will provide leadership and direction for the Trust's Facilities services, ensuring that services are delivered efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with statutory, regulatory and NHS standards. The postholder will work closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to enhance patient experience, drive service improvements, and ensure Facilities services are fully integrated into the Trust's strategic and operational plans.

Leading Catering, Domestic Services, Portering, Security, Linen & Laundry, Waste Management, Pest Control and Window Cleaning services across multiple sites.

Developing and implementing strategic and operational service plans.

Monitoring performance against key performance indicators and quality standards.

Driving service transformation, innovation and continuous improvement.

Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, NHS guidance and regulatory requirements.

Managing complex budgets and delivering financial targets, including Cost Improvement Programmes (CIPs).

Leading workforce development, recruitment, retention and engagement activities.

Supporting business case development and major Trust projects.

Participating in out-of-hours and on-call management arrangements
