A Unique Opportunity to Shape Product Assurance
Our client is a highly respected technology and engineering organisation operating within advanced imaging, electronics and embedded systems. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Product Assurance Engineer to become the technical authority for Product Assurance across the business.
This is a newly created position offering significant autonomy and influence, with responsibility for ensuring quality, reliability and compliance throughout the engineering lifecycle.
Working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing and Project teams, you will play a key role in driving governance, product quality and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead Product Assurance activities throughout the engineering lifecycle
* Chair, review and approve Engineering Gate Reviews
* Conduct internal audits covering Product Lifecycle, Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems
* Review engineering and project documentation to ensure compliance and quality standards are met
* Investigate product defects, identify root causes and implement corrective actions
* Participate in Configuration Review Boards
* Support product certification activities including CE, RoHS and REACH
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality, reliability and compliance
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve product performance and governance
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* Experience with in Product Assurance, Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering
* Internal auditing experience within an ISO 9001 certified environment
* Strong understanding of engineering life cycles and product development processes
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
* A proactive approach to quality and continuous improvement
Candidates from electronics, aerospace, defence, medical devices, manufacturing or other regulated engineering sectors are encouraged to apply.
Please note:
This role will require successful completion of BPSS clearance.
