Business Development Manager - Electrical Contractors

Region – South West - Birmingham, Oxford, Luton, Bletchley, Banbury, Maidenhead, Watford, Slough, London.

Salary - £40k to £50k basic depending on experience with 20% commission, car, and excellent benefits.

The Employer

This employer is an established group of UK companies that manufacture and distribute over 30,000 electrical and electronic products and components to more than 50 countries worldwide. They work with electrical distribution, wholesale, and OEM sectors on both branded and white label basis. The company is in an exciting phase of growth.

The Opportunity

This is a business development role with hundreds of active accounts across the Midlands to South East corridor. Due to recent mergers and acquisitions, the customer solutions have expanded, offering superb opportunities to grow through cross-selling other product lines and increasing account value. The focus is on warm business development within the electrical contractor market.

The Desired Applicant

We seek an enthusiastic and positive sales professional confident in developing business and engaging with clients across a wide territory. Experience with in the electrical sector—whether in wholesale, manufacturing, distribution, or contracting—is essential. The role involves supporting electrical contractors on their projects, educating them on our product suite, and assisting with pricing.

We welcome applications from existing business development professionals and driven internal sales team members seeking career growth. The ideal candidate is proactive, capable of managing many customer accounts independently, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
