We’re seeking a skilled Youth Justice Officer to join the Youth Justice Service with Slough Children First in Slough. You will be earning £25.80 per hour (Umbrella) on a 3-month contract, working full-time, 37 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in the community and support young people in the youth justice system.

What you will do:
  • Assess the needs and risks of young people within the justice system and develop tailored intervention plans to support their rehabilitation.
  • Liaise with social workers, the police, schools, and other agencies to ensure effective communication and coordinated support.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with young people and their families to discuss progress and address any issues.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports for court proceedings and attend hearings as necessary.
  • Deliver programmes on behaviour management, conflict resolution, and crime prevention to assist young people in making positive choices.
  • Monitor and review the progress of young people and adjust plans as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
