We’re currently recruiting for a Social Worker to join the Assessment Team at Hampshire County Council. This Social Worker position offers flexible working, a supportive team culture, and the opportunity to work within a service focused on reducing caseloads and improving outcomes.

Job Summary

As a Social Worker in the Assessment Team
, you’ll be responsible for completing timely assessments and making informed decisions to ensure children receive the right support. This Social Worker role involves working closely with families and professionals to assess risk and plan effective interventions.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Completing Child & Family Assessments and Section 47 enquiries
• Assessing, monitoring, and reviewing the needs of children and families
• Managing a caseload and delivering outcome-focused plans
• Working with multi-agency partners to safeguard children
• Producing reports and maintaining accurate case records
• Carrying out direct work with children, families, and carers
• Using supervision to reflect and develop as a Social Worker

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
• Minimum 1 year UK experience in a Social Worker role
• Experience with in Referral & Assessment / safeguarding
• Strong assessment and risk management skills
• Enhanced DBS (we can support with this)
• Right to work in the UK
