Class 1 Driver

Class 1 Personnel are currently recruiting Class 1 Driver for one of the largest distribution company Nationally.

This role mainly consists of the collection/delivery of parcels from depot to depot in the safest way following all Health and Safety guidelines.

Dawn Shift Starts between 02:01 - 04:00 £ 23.24 per hour
Early 05:00

Starts between 04:01 - 05:00 £ 22.74 per hour
Early 05:30

Starts between 05:01 - 05:30 £ 22.47 per hour
Evening Finishes between 20:00 - 21:39 £ 22.98 per hour
Lates Finishes between 21:40 - 01:59 £ 23.85 per hour
Nights Minimum 3 hours across 23:00 - 05:00 £ 25.32 per hour

The Candidate:
To be considered for the Class 1 Driver role you'll need to be able to demonstrate good attention to detail skills.
The ideal person for the this position would need the following:

- Previous experience in driving a Class 1 vehicle
- Must have a full UK licence with category CE, Driver CPC card and Digital Tacho Card
- Be able to provide your last 5 years history
- Be prepared to undergo a UK criminal Check
- Hard working
- Keen and have a "can do attitude"
- Reliable
- UK right to work
- Proof of National Insurance
- Be able to get to Langley for 02:00am

Key Responsibilities:

Driving a Class 1 Lorry in the safest manner possible

Quick response to all requirements as this is a busy quick paced environment

Support all transport related duties

Follow direction from senior staff and contribute to the overall success of the operation.

Driver Requirements

To be considered, drivers must:

Hold a UK issued Class 1 / C+E licence for at least 12 months
Have at least 180 days / 6 months Class 1 driving experience within the past year
Hold a valid and up-to-date Digital Tachograph card
Hold a valid and up-to-date Driver CPC card
Have no more than 6 points on their driving licence
Licence codes will be checked and must meet Royal Mail acceptance criteria
Confirm whether they have worked for Royal Mail previously
If previously worked at Royal Mail, a re-hire check will need to be completed before being put forward
If they have previously attended a Royal Mail assessment, previous assessment findings must be checked before re-submission
