Automotive Service Technician

Automotive Service Technician at Mills Automotive Group in Smithfield, North Carolina. This full-time role is on our new KIA team in Smithfield, NC. Compensation ranges from $18.00 - $38.00 per hour, paid semimonthly.

• Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostic tests to identify issues
• Repair and replace damaged, worn, or faulty parts
• Regularly maintain and service vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
• Use specialized equipment and tools to diagnose, repair, and service vehicles
• Keep accurate records of repairs and services performed
• Stay up-to-date with new automotive technology and techniques through training and workshops
• Communicate with customers to explain services, answer questions, and provide recommendations for future maintenance and repairs

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as an Automotive Service Technician preferred
• ASE certification and/or manufacturer training a plus
• Knowledge of automotive diagnostic equipment and tools
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Must have basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
