Automotive Technician

Job Summary

Classic Ford - Smithfield is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. This full-time, hourly position will require a dedicated and experienced individual to perform a wide range of automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles in our dealership in Smithfield, North Carolina. $20.00/hr - $50.00/hr

• Pay range of $20 to $45 per hour, depending on experience
• Hourly wage paid semi-monthly

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs
• Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using diagnostic equipment
• Perform complex repairs, including engine, transmission, and electrical systems
• Keep detailed records of all work performed and parts used
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle repairs and maintenance
• Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role
• ASE certification preferred
• Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and hand tools
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
