Full‑time Physician Assistant opportunity in Smithfield, North Carolina. Main Street Family Care is expanding and seeks a fast‑moving, friendly PA to join our urgent care team. You will provide patient‑focused care across a wide scope of practice, manage a small team, and work in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.

We support new graduates: on‑site orientation, training shifts with experienced providers, continuous CE, and an NP on‑call for clinical decision‑making. Our goal is to invest in your success and help you advance your career within the protected scope of urgent care.

• Diagnose and treat common illnesses such as cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory conditions.
• Perform minor procedures, including toenail removal, foreign object removal, suturing, splinting, and general orthopedic evaluations.
• Interpret x‑rays (to be over‑read by a radiologist), review routine lab results, and manage telemedicine visits.
• Provide dermatological, ophthalmological, and general EKG interpretation services.
• Offer general gynecology care and occupational medicine services.
• Treat patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics.
• Lead and model care for clinical assistants while maintaining leadership responsibilities during rotations.

• Clinic hours:
  Monday‑Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.;
  Saturday‑Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
• Rotate every other weekend:
  Week 1 – Mon/Fri, Tues, Wed OFF, Thu OFF, Sat ON, Sun ON. Week 2 – Mon OFF, Tues OFF, Wed ON, Thu ON, Fri OFF, Sat OFF, Sun OFF.

• Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
• MSN or higher education; new graduates welcome.
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (company covers cost).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
