Family Nurse Practitioner – Main Street Family Care

Location: Smithfield, North Carolina

Job Type: Full‑time

Full‑time Family Nurse Practitioner Opportunity in Smithfield, North Carolina. Main Street Family Care is growing and seeks a fast, fun, and friendly FNP to provide patient‑focused care in a high‑volume, fast‑paced urgent care environment. This role is ideal for early‑career FNPs and new graduates.

• Diagnosing and treating cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues
• Performing minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.)
• Managing suturing, splinting, and general orthopedic evaluations/management
• Reviewing x‑rays (to be over‑read by a radiologist)
• Providing general dermatology, eye problem assessments, and EKG interpretations
• Executing emergency management skills and general GYN expertise
• Treating children of all ages
• Pursuing occupational medicine responsibilities
• Providing telemedicine care

Main Street Clinic Hours – 7 days a week.

• Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Work a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend:

• Week 1:
  Monday (ON), Tuesday (ON), Wednesday (OFF), Thursday (OFF), Friday (ON), Saturday (ON), Sunday (ON).
• Week 2:
  Monday (OFF), Tuesday (OFF), Wednesday (ON), Thursday (ON), Friday (OFF), Saturday (OFF), Sunday (OFF).

• Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
• MSN or higher education required; new graduate friendly.
• DOT certification or willingness to obtain DOT certification (cost covered).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
