Warehouse Associate

Join to apply for the Warehouse Associate role at Specialty Building Products in Smithfield, NC. This position is part of a values‑based organization focused on safety and teamwork.

• Safely operate forklift and other machinery.
• Band, wrap, tape product.
• Maintain work area and be organized.
• Identify and read tickets, SKUs, UPC labels and reports.
• Great attention to detail and accuracy – stand and work on feet throughout shift.
• Be able to bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, push, pull, move, and lift to 50 lbs.
• Work in an outdoor warehouse environment.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Work in a team environment.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year warehouse distribution experience.
• Prior lumber experience desired. Engineered Lumber experience is preferred.
• Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred but not required.
• Basic math and analytical skills.
• Computer literate:
  Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Team Lead/Shift supervisor experience preferred.
• Self‑starter, pro‑active and able to take initiative.
