Sales & Creative Support Specialist

Overview

J&R Marketing is growing, and we’re looking for an energetic, creative, and highly organized Sales & Creative Support Specialist to join our team! This is a hybrid role combining graphic design skills with customer service and sales support — perfect for someone who thrives wearing multiple hats and wants variety in their day-to-day work.

You’ll be splitting your time between assisting clients in our showroom, by phone or email, and working on graphic design tasks such as mockups, proofs, and client-ready creative projects. This is an in-person role based at our office in Smithfield, RI.

• Greet and assist showroom walk-ins and clients picking up orders
• Answer inbound calls and assist with client questions, product selections, and order updates
• Help process sales orders and quotes, create invoices, and update our CRM
• Provide exceptional customer service and follow-up, helping clients navigate our wide range of products and services
• Maintain showroom organization and assist with general sales floor support

• Create digital mock-ups and proofs for client approval (business cards, brochures, t-shirts, and more)
• Prepare print-ready artwork, ensuring proper bleeds and file setup
• Use Adobe Illustrator proficiently to produce high-quality designs
• Support design production by assisting with ongoing design tasks and creative projects
• Update client records in the CRM and leave clear notes for job tracking
• Collaborate with the design team and sales team to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (Photoshop and InDesign are a plus)
• Strong design sense with the ability to work on both corporate and creative projects
• Prior experience in customer service, sales support, or client-facing roles
• Strong communication skills and a people-first attitude
• Ability to multi-task and switch between sales and creative tasks seamlessly
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to follow up effectively and ensure customer satisfaction
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team environment
• Local to Rhode Island and able to work on-site in Smithfield, RI
• Positive, can-do attitude and ready to grow with the team

• Part-time or full-time (20–40 hours per week, based on experience and availability)
• On-site role at our Smithfield, RI office (no remote work)
• Starting at $20/hour, with potential for increases based on performance and skill progression
• Growth opportunities into full-time Sales or Graphic Design positions as the business expands
