Visiting Assoc​/Assist Professor of Finance

Bryant University seeks to fill a Visiting Professor of Finance position for the  academic year. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and to being an active member of the Finance Department faculty during their time at Bryant University. Bryant is also conducting searches for permanent tenure track positions. Qualified candidates for the Visiting Professor position may also apply for the permanent positions and will be considered alongside other applicants.

While we welcome applications from candidates in all areas of finance, we have a particular need for an individual who can teach the introductory course in Finance to undergraduates and the required finance course in our MBA program.

Research Data Support
Bryant subscribes to the typical databases used in financial research (e.g., CRSP, Compustat), plus a number of specialized data services in support of research on corporate governance, banking, and ESG topics. We utilize the WRDS platform at Bryant to organize these databases. Bryant also provides access to Fact Set, Morningstar, and Bloomberg to support research and teaching in Finance.

Appointment
The title and salary will be Visiting Associate Professor or Visiting Assistant Professor based on the candidate qualifications, consistent with AACSB benchmarks. Ideally, the appointment will be for the full  academic year. An appointment for only the Spring 2026 semester may also be considered.

The Finance Department currently consists of ten tenured or tenure-track faculty members and six full-time non-tenure track faculty members. Students interested in Finance can earn concentrations in finance as part of our undergraduate degrees in business administration (BSBA) or international business (BSIB). We also offer a specialized concentration in financial services for undergraduate students and offer graduate courses in Finance as part of Master’s degree programs.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Finance from an AACSB-International or EQUIS accredited institution. Candidates should have an active research agenda and be open to participating in scholarly activities while at Bryant University. Candidates must have at least 3 years of teaching experience in a business school and experience teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
