Copper and Brass Division:
Sales is a distributor and processor of aluminum, stainless steel, copper, brass, bronze and more quality materials serving markets across North America, including Canada and Mexico. Interface with all branches for quality escapes both internal and external. Maintain quality charts, graphs and facilitate rapid root cause at all branches. Work on Continuous Improvement projects with branches to improve quality and reduce escapes.
Location: Smithfield, RI (Onsite)
Salary: $76,000 - $95,000 base Status: Full‑Time | Immediate Need

- Ensure product and process quality across all branches
- Lead investigations for internal/external quality issues using 5‑Why, Fishbone, and 8D
- Collaborate with Operations on new equipment installations and inspection processes
- Drive Continuous Improvement projects to reduce defects and improve metrics
- Conduct FMEA, SPC
, and process validations - Support audits and supplier quality initiatives
- Train production teams on quality tools and systems
- Manage non‑conforming inventory and ensure timely resolution
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (preferred)
- 3+ years in quality engineering (metals industry experience a plus)
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ASTM, IATF 16949 standards
- Strong root cause analysis and corrective action skills
- AS9100 auditor certification or ability to obtain
- Six Sigma Green Belt (a plus)
- Hands‑on experience with ERP/QMS systems (SAP preferred)
- Excellent communication and ability to read technical drawings
