Financial Manager, CFO, Corporate Finance
Vaco is working with a global manufacturing company looking for a Controller to guide the accounting function. This is a rapidly expanding, multi-entity organization. In this role you will oversee day-to-day financial activities, lead a high-performing team, and serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership during an exciting period of growth and transformation.

This position is ideal for a leader who thrives in an environment of continuous improvement and enjoys tackling complex, high-impact initiatives such as acquisitions, integrations, and system enhancements.
Primary Responsibilities Financial Oversight & Accounting Operations- Direct all core accounting activities, including the general ledger, monthly and annual close cycles, account reconciliations, AR/AP, and payroll.
- Deliver accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and forward‑looking analyses.
- Establish, refine, and enforce sound accounting policies, internal controls, and best practices.
- Partner with leaders across departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial modeling.
- Manage cash flow, capital planning, and financial forecasting to support organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide executive leadership with clear financial insights and data‑driven recommendations.
- Lead process improvements, system optimizations, and initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and accuracy.
- Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and oversee the annual audit process.
- Maintain appropriate controls, documentation, and safeguards to protect company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Lead, coach, and develop a multi‑level accounting team, cultivating accountability, professional growth, and operational excellence.
- Strengthen team structure by clarifying roles, enhancing workflows, and promoting cross‑functional collaboration.
- Encourage strong communication channels between finance and other key business groups.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Active CPA designation is preferred.
- Direct involvement in M&A activities, including due diligence and post‑acquisition integration.
- Strong technical accounting expertise with deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities in a high‑growth, fast‑moving environment.
- Proven success collaborating at an executive level and influencing cross‑functional leaders.
- Experience with Microsoft D365 or a comparable ERP system (highly preferred).
- Outstanding analytical, communication, and leadership capabilities.
- Experience presenting to or partnering with a Board of Directors is a plus.
Compensation for this role is determined by the individual’s skill set, experience, licensure, and location. Candidates may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and can participate in medical, dental, vision benefits, and the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
