The Role

As an Accounting Support Analyst, you will be a key member of the Fidelity Investments Life Insurance (FILI) accounting team responsible for supporting FILI’s accounting & reporting activities. Your responsibilities include month‑end close, quarterly reporting, and year‑end activities.

• Coordinate the business‑critical daily separate account trade wires, ensuring their completion by early to mid‑morning.
• Prepare daily cash reconciliations and initiate disbursement wires for settlement of investment trades and other payments.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for financial close and support quarterly/annual regulatory filings and annual financial statement reporting.
• Support regulatory state filings and premium taxes.
• Initiate payments for various vendor invoices.
• Support the withholding tax process, including payments and monthly reconciliations.
• Streamline processes and enhance controls to develop improved reporting of results.

The Expertise And Skills You Bring

• Accounting degree is preferred but not required; relevant accounting experience is essential.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, and strong organizational skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment while balancing multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.
• Self‑starter with a sense of ownership who has the initiative to proactively identify and resolve issues and knows when to seek clarification or assistance.
• Eagerness to learn and advance your skills.
