Full Stack Developer, Cloud Engineer - Software, Java Developer, Software Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Scrum team in Smithfield, RI. You will work closely with Squad Lead, Scrum Master, Developers, QA, and Architects to craft, build, test, and deliver features that enhance our digital platforms’ customer experience.
ResponsibilitiesAs a member of the squad, you will take responsibility for:
- Developing full-stack solutions with Angular v10+, Java SE 8+, and AWS infrastructure.
- Understanding the complete stack of our web applications and contributing to architectural decisions.
- Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and communicating technical needs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Applying Agile methodologies to deliver scalable, maintainable code.
- Participating in code reviews, unit tests, and quality assurance processes.
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (preferred).
- 8+ years of full-stack software engineering experience, preferably in financial services.
- Proficiency with Java EE, Apache Tomcat, Spring MVC/Spring Boot, Logback, SLF4j, Maven.
- Proficiency with Angular, JavaScript/Type Script, Node, NPM, HTML/CSS, RxJS.
- Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving skills, and a willingness to grow.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical team members.
- Experience delivering scalable, secure applications using RESTful services and design patterns.
- Knowledge of cloud, containerization, Docker, and continuous integration concepts.
- Experience with AWS services and, ideally, AWS certification(s).
- Familiarity with Dev Ops practices, monitoring, and deployment pipelines.
- AWS certification(s).
- Experience with enterprise application architecture patterns (e.g., Apache Camel).
- Client‑side unit testing with Jasmine, Karma, or similar frameworks.
- Docker containerization and AWS cloud deployment.
Salary range: $115,000 – $120,000. Compensation may vary based on education, experience, and skills. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), life, disability & ADD insurance. Paid time off is provided to salaried personnel; hourly employees receive leave only as required by law.
