, the new hospital will provide modern facilities and comprehensive medical services to meet the growing needs of the community.
The 200,000-square-foot, three-story facility will offer a range of essential healthcare services including an Emergency Department, Diagnostic Imaging Services, 38 Medical/Surgical beds, 12 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds and 4 Operating Rooms. OverviewResponsible for registration of all patient types within their department. Works daily reports and account work queues to ensure the integrity of registration data. The Patient Access representative is responsible for the delivery of critical components of the Revenue Cycle; understanding regulatory compliance, maintaining patient safety through correct patient identification practices, and providing excellent customer service.
What You Will Do- Obtain or validate patient information and register patients into the software system, while providing a high level of customer service.
- Ensure all necessary demographic and financial data are obtained and documented in the system.
- Maintain patient safety through correct patient identification practices. Maintain strict confidentiality in all matters related to patient PHI.
- Work daily reports and account work queues to ensure the integrity of the registration data.
- Handle patient inquiries related to registration.
- Calculate payment information, accept funds and credit accounts accordingly for Time of Service collections.
- Ensure EMTALA rules and regulations are strictly adhered to when registering patients through the ED and Obstetrics.
- Complete forms and collect documents as needed based on the registration type.
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- 1 year Billing/Customer Service/Patient Registration (Preferred)
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) - National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM) within 1 Year (Preferred)
