Subsitute School Nurse RN Per Diem

• Step in when school nurses are absent or during school events and field trips
• Provide first aid and urgent care to students and staff
• Administer medications and treatments per care plans
• Monitor chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes)
• Maintain accurate and timely health documentation
• Promote a healthy and safe school environment
• Communicate with students, staff, and parents with empathy and clarity

• Must be dependable, communicative, and confident in independent decision-making
• Must love working with children and stay calm under pressure

Experience in pediatrics, school nursing, ER, family health, or urgent care is ideal, but not required.

• Active RN license in Delaware (or compact state license)
• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• 2+ years of RN clinical experience
• Current BLS certification
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Ability to work confidently with school-aged children
