Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for examining, analyzing, interpreting, and maintaining the accounts and records of the company to ensure adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Complies and analyzes financial and non-financial information to record transactions and review/verify the accuracy of the data. Works closely with the business stakeholders, and assists in month, quarter, and year-end financial statement closings.

• Maintain the company’s accounting records and ensure financial statement accuracy.
• Preparation of daily and monthly journal entries.
• Assists with the month-end closing process.
• Analyzes and reconciles balance sheet accounts to various sub-ledgers, addresses issues timely.
• Assists in budget and forecasting activities including variance analysis.
• Assists various audits, by gathering and providing information and documentation as requested
• Prepares reports for both internal and external parties monthly/quarterly/annually by specific deadlines.
• Partner with other functional teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of accounting information.
• Mentor Staff Accountants

• Minimum 5 years’ experience of general accounting experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting or financial reporting.
• Month end close
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Experience with large ERP such as Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, Net Suite, SAP, Oracle.
• Ability to analyze large sets of data
• SQL is a plus
