Staff Accountant

Base pay range

$35.00/hr - $41.00/hr

PRO 360 is assisting our client in the Smyrna, GA area looking for a contract Staff Accountant. This contract will last for two to three months, and they are looking to interview and get someone started immediately.

• Provide accounting support and monthly field reporting for specified general ledger accounts
• Conduct thorough monthly reviews of specified revenue and expense accounts
• Analyze and research financial information pertaining to income statement and balance sheet
• Prepare journal entries related to monthly General Ledger activity for assigned reporting unit
• Complete assigned monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare and distribute secondary reports monthly as supporting documentation for financial statement review
• Research variances on financial statements to provide substantive explanations and generate adjusting journal entries as needed
• Respond to inquiries from Corporate, Sales, and Supply Chain management in relation to financial statement review and recurring financial analysis

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, plus 3-4 years of related experience.
• Public accounting audit experience or corporate account experience required. A mix of both preferred.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP.
• Experience in Microsoft Office and proficiency in advanced Excel functions.
• Self‑starter who relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

• Ability to perform well under pressure and in a high‑volume, changing environment.
