About the Role
AS Holdings is looking for an experienced and forward‑thinking Corporate Controller to oversee financial operations across our family of six (6) business entities. This is a leadership role designed for someone who thrives on strategy, structure, and collaboration.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)You will work hand‑in‑hand daily with the CFO to gain a deep understanding of all six (6) business entity’s financial operations, processes, and controls, with a 3‑5 year succession path to the CFO role, to:
- Manage project cost control, cash flow, forecasting, WIP, and revenue recognition, with understanding of commercial construction accounting practices.
- Lead long‑term financial strategy through heavy data analytics, forecasting, and performance analysis to support growth and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP; manage internal and external audits; assist with risk mitigation and review key contracts.
- Serve as a strategic partner to ownership and senior management, providing insight to guide business planning and decision‑making.
- Lead and develop accounting and finance teams, promoting excellence, collaboration, and continuous process improvement.
- Prepare and deliver accurate, timely, and clear financial reports and presentations to leadership.
- Manage key external relationships including banks, bonding/surety providers, insurance carriers, and legal advisors.
- Demonstrate strong comprehension of commercial construction accounting knowledge, including percent‑completion and project‑based reporting methods.
- Function as a thoughtful steward of company resources and a catalyst for organizational growth.
- Proven problem‑solver with sound judgment and a proactive, hands‑on approach.
Experience:
- 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
- Commercial construction industry preferred.
Education and Credentials:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA, CMA, CCIFP, MBA or advanced certifications are a strong plus.
- CPA, CMA, or CCIFP credentials strongly preferred.
Skills & Qualities:
- Hands‑on experience with financial systems, reporting, audits, and compliance.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to manage teams and drive process improvements.
