A leading construction and technology services firm based in Smyrna, Georgia is seeking a hands-on, experienced Controller to oversee the financial operations of a growing construction and technology-focused company. This role is ideal for a strategic finance professional ready to partner closely with senior leadership, manage a small finance team, and includes an opportunity for future advancement into executive finance roles.

• Oversee general ledger, monthly and quarterly closes, and financial reporting
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for projects and division operations
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and division performance
• Prepare financial statements, variance reports, and management updates
  
  Ensure GAAP compliance and audit readiness
• Review contracts, change orders, and project billing for accuracy
• Develop and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures
• Lead, mentor, and manage a small finance team
• Partner with operations to track project costs, margins, and profitability
• Support CFO with strategic planning, capital projects, and ad hoc financial analysis
• Assist with HR and IT tasks such as payroll and systems support
• Identify and implement process improvements

• 10+ years of accounting experience with 2–3+ years in management
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA and CPA highly preferred
• Experience in the construction or manufacturing industry
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Proficiency with Word and Outlook Ability to work closely with senior leadership
