Position SummaryASI Group is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician for our second shift. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment and machinery to support safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations. The technician will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, and support mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and PLC-controlled systems.

The selected candidate will train on first shift for approximately six months before transitioning to the regular second-shift schedule.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery, equipment, building systems, and utilities.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and production breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Install, assemble, test, inspect, service, calibrate, and maintain machinery and equipment.
- Monitor equipment for changes in performance, temperature, sound, vibration, or other signs of malfunction.
- Inspect and maintain motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, production-related equipment, and control instrumentation.
- Read and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, work orders, and equipment documentation.
- Use hand tools, power tools, electric meters, measuring instruments, and material-handling equipment.
- Complete maintenance work orders and required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Work with Engineering and outside vendors on equipment installations, upgrades, repairs, and parts.
- Maintain parts and supplies inventory and report low inventory levels to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized 5S-compliant work area.
- Follow OSHA/EPA requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, PPE requirements, and other company safety practices.
- Communicate equipment concerns and support continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Perform other maintenance duties as required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience working with industrial equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, material handling, motor controls, relay controls, process controls, and/or packaging equipment.
- Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic equipment, and PLCs.
- Working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
- Ability to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems, troubleshoot failures, and take appropriate corrective action to reduce downtime.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to read and understand equipment operation manuals, Safety Data Sheets, technical procedures, and other required documentation.
- Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work successfully as part of a team.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
- 2+ years of maintenance experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and basic electrical repair.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC machines, including electrical and mechanical issues.
- Knowledge of robotics, robotic controls, and vision systems.
- Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, engineering technology, or a related specialty, or equivalent work experience.
- Manufacturing maintenance experience involving metal fabrication, production equipment, or similar industrial systems.
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience.
This position requires regular standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive hand and/or foot motions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, wear required personal protective equipment, and work in a manufacturing environment with temperature changes, dust, dirt, chemicals, moving machinery, and non-climate-controlled conditions. The role may also require occasional work from heights and operation of forklifts or other mechanized equipment.
