💲 Pay Range: $44/hr – $48/hr (based on experience)
🌟 About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and compassionate RN Oncology Clinician (PRN) to support outpatient oncology infusion services. This role is ideal for an oncology-experienced RN who excels in infusion therapy, patient education, and evidence-based oncology care.
In this position, you will administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and other hazardous medications, while serving as a trusted clinical resource for patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.

The RN Oncology Clinician functions under infusion leadership and demonstrates advanced competency in oncology infusion therapy, including the safe handling and administration of hazardous drugs.
This role requires strong clinical judgment, chemotherapy competency, and the ability to care for patients with complex oncologic needs while addressing biological, emotional, psychosocial, and educational needs.
🔹 Key ResponsibilitiesOncology Infusion & Clinical Care
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, antineoplastic agents, targeted therapies, and other hazardous drugs
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor treatment responses
- Deliver safe, individualized infusion care using evidence-based practice
- Maintain annual chemotherapy competency requirements
Patient-Centered Care & Education
- Address biological, emotional, developmental, and psychosocial patient needs
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, side effects, and safety
- Promote continuity of care and patient advocacy
Teamwork & Collaboration
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacy, nursing leadership, and care teams
- Coordinate and document high-quality patient care
- Serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff and leadership
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to oncology safety standards and USP hazardous drug handling guidelines
- Participate in performance improvement, research utilization, and quality initiatives
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
Professional Development
- Attend staff meetings, education sessions, and in-services
- Serve as a preceptor or mentor for newly hired RNs as needed
- Maintain oncology expertise through continuing education and certification efforts
- Required: Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

- Active RN License (Single-State or Compact)
- BLS – Basic Life Support
- Chemotherapy Competency through an approved provider
(ONS or equivalent – preferred)
- 2+ years direct patient care experience (required)
- 2+ years outpatient oncology nursing experience (preferred)
- Prior chemotherapy infusion experience (strongly preferred)
- Advanced oncology infusion and chemotherapy administration skills
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
- Ability to manage complex cases and function in high-acuity situations
- Strong documentation, time management, and computer skills
- Ability to safely handle hazardous drugs per USP guidelines
