As a Deli Clerk you will assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh, easy meals and delivering high‑level customer service. This includes arranging vegetables and sliced meats for made‑to‑order sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, and maintaining a knowledgeable knowledge of meats, cheeses, and other deli items. Food safety knowledge is essential to uphold Sprouts’ high standards. The role offers ample growth opportunities to learn about products, equipment, and customer‑service excellence in a fast‑paced environment.

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience in grocery, restaurant, or a related field.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly, and positive with strong customer‑interaction skills.
• Capacity to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow direction in a team environment.
• Handle phone calls and take special orders.
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. horizontally or vertically for up to 20 feet, 4‑hour shifts without mechanical assistance.
• Stand continuously for up to 4 hours for a total of 8 hours per shift.
• General housekeeping, cleaning, and sanitizing of department areas.
• Operate slicer, wrapping, and cooking equipment, maintaining safe working condition.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; maintain a Food Handlers permit.
• Work in cooler and freezer temperature environments.
• Other related duties as assigned.
