Position

Medical Assistant – Center Well Senior Primary Care (Smyrna, TN)

Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant 2 is the first point of contact for patient care, responsible for both administrative duties and patient care tasks. Responsibilities include discussing symptoms, gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records system, taking vital signs, giving injections, performing diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, drawing blood, sterilizing and cleaning equipment, maintaining examination rooms at an outpatient care site, and collaborating closely with physicians and nurses.

The role delivers direct patient care within defined parameters and works with minimal direction.

Required Qualifications
  • Successful completion of an MA school/training program or certification/registration as a Medical Assistant, or 5+ years of experience with approval from Provider.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • CPR Certified.
  • Patient‑facing role that is part of the company’s TB screening program; TB screening required if selected.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified or Registered (Arizona, Indiana, & South Carolina candidates require Medical Assistant Certification or Registration).
  • Phlebotomy experience.
  • Medication/vaccine administration experience.
  • 1+ years MA experience.
  • Value Based Care experience, including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish – must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication.

Hours:

40. Pay Range: $40,000–$52,300 per year. Eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
