The Certified Surgical Technologist (Obstetrics) plays a critical role in the operating room team, supporting nurses and surgeons in providing safe, efficient, and compassionate care to patients.
Job SummaryAs a Surgical Technologist, you will work under the direct supervision of the OR nurse, managing the sterile field, instrumentation, and other technical tasks during procedures. Your responsibilities will include preparing and passing instruments, monitoring sterility, and assisting in patient positioning.
What You Will Do- Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages served.
- Promote customer service initiatives.
- Function as scrub person during operative procedures.
- Perform technical duties and procedures with accuracy.
- Assist in the intra‑operative care of the patient by performing assigned technical duties.
- Deliver compassionate, holistic care while supporting the rights and dignity of all patients.
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech Program (required).
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (required).
- Surgical technologist students may be hired within 3 months of graduation; verification of completion will be required.
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 25 pounds.
- BLS certification (Basic Life Support) obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
