Tool and Die Maker 1 - 2790
Job Duties
- Assist Tool and Die Makers with their work
- Basic machining and grinding.
- Grind and adjust different parts to properly fit them together
- Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
- Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
- Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Perform work under Tool and Die Maker supervision
- Have beginning to basic knowledge of mills, saws lathes and grinders
- Possess basic working knowledge of subject matter
- Currently going to Tool and Die school through TCAT or equivalent, or r ecently finished Tool and Die school through TCAT or equivalent
- Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff
- 0 to 2 years of relevant tool and die experience
- Ability to interpret work instructions
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions
- Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
- Able to use and read measuring equipment
- Manual dexterity
- Detail-oriented
- Organizational skills
