Travel RN – Labor & Delivery

Smyrna, TN | Acute Care

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Full-Time | Onsite

• Provide high-quality nursing care to laboring patients in a 9-bed L&D unit with 3 swing rooms, 2 ORs, and a 3-bed OBED
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 and support patient choice while promoting vaginal birth opportunities aligned with patient preference
• Perform and assist with unit procedures including OR circulating, IUPC, FSE, MgSO4 administration, postpartum hemorrhage management using the JADA system, and nitrous oxide
• Document accurately using CPN and Meditech electronic documentation systems
• Adhere to scheduling requirements including 4 weekend shifts per month; may float to mother/baby or outside department to task as needed
• Uphold patient experience standards consistent with unit benchmarks

• Active RN license required
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Fetal monitoring certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required

• Spinning Babies training or familiarity is helpful
• STABLE program certification or training is a plus
• Experience with laborist or team-based birth models
• Familiarity with couplet care and breastfeeding support practices
