. EOSYS is a growing company in Nashville seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician. Pay range for this role is $30 - $35/hr, depending on experience.
As a hands‑on member of the industrial control field installation team, you will be responsible for training, mentoring, and leading a small team of 1‑2 installers while executing electrical and equipment installation projects both on‑site and off‑site.
Responsibilities- Works independently with little supervision to successfully execute electrical and equipment installation projects/tasks on and off site.
- Ensures personal safety and quality standards are followed.
- Engages customers during installations to ensure satisfactory completion and explore additional project opportunities.
- Maintains organization of tools and inventory.
- Performs installation and decommissioning of components, wiring, and equipment.
- Assembles and modifies custom control enclosures and devices per electrical schematics and installation plans.
- Collaborates with Engineering to test, check out, and troubleshoot large, complex systems.
- Runs wiring and conduit for equipment installations at customer sites.
- Participates in continuous improvement activities.
- Operates company trucks and vans with trailers, and uses forklifts and manlifts.
- Coordinates and executes small‑scale projects with support from the Installation Manager.
- Manages team member(s) during the duration of installations with support from the Installation Manager.
- Completes and files appropriate project‑related paperwork.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two‑year technical school, trade school, electrical apprenticeship program, contractor's license, or related certificates is a plus.
- OSHA 10‑ or 30‑hour training and safety compliance.
- Five or more years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, construction, or service; OEM experience with major manufacturing companies; or system integration/automation equipment installation.
- Experience working in an industrial environment.
- Experience in specialty terminations of industrial control panels and devices per electrical schematics (e.g., network cables, fiber‑optic, PLC, I/O components).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Ability to commute to Smyrna, TN and travel out of state for short‑term assignments.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Capability to achieve a Master Electrician or Electrical Contractor certification within one year is a plus.
- Project management for installation projects: planning schedules, communicating operations, identifying necessary tools and materials.
- Providing technical instructions and feedback to team members.
- Reference and interpretation of electrical codes (NEC, NFPA, UL).
- Reading and understanding blueprints, schematics, and control diagrams.
- Strong knowledge of electrical fundamentals.
- Mechanical and layout skills with enclosures, conduit, and trays.
Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Flexibility for short‑notice schedule changes. Regular travel and overnight stays of 30‑40% of the time. Projects average 2‑3 weeks in duration with overnight stays.
Work EnvironmentCombination of office and industrial settings with exposure to inclement weather. Environments may be dusty, dirty, hot, wet, confined, or otherwise uncomfortable.
