Job Purpose & Scope

Drives new loan production, deposit growth, client development, and establishes new client relationships. Mentors junior staff and collaborates with leadership to optimize processes and coordinate competitive strategies. Fosters internal collaboration aligned with the OZK Way and Commercial Bank Vision Statement.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of the business banking market, including customer needs, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Bank’s products and services.
  • General knowledge of financial products and services for business clients.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including the ability to present financial information accurately.
  • Ability to utilize discretion and sound judgment in decision making.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative to meet sales goals and drive growth and innovation.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, including the ability to work with all levels of management.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective strategic, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective analytical skills with the ability to assess loan risks and make sound financial decisions.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, while working with exacting deadlines and shifting demands, unforeseen events, and changing priorities.
  • Ability to travel overnight, as needed.
  • Skill in banking systems and software.
  • Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or job-related field, or commensurate work experience, required.
  • 5+ years of experience in business banking sales and client relations, or related sales and relationship management experience in a banking or financial environment, required.
  • 3+ years of experience in credit analysis and risk assessment, or related experience in a financial institution, required.
  • NMLS, or successful completion of NMLS process within 30 days of hire, required.
  • 1+ years of experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others, preferred.
