Overview

It’s Time to Get Better! Piedmont’s Inpatient Acute Rehab (IPAR) program is a 20-bed unit that offers intense acute rehab services for patients experiencing functional decline from a wider range of diagnoses. Our rehab team includes nurses, nursing assistants, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech/language pathologists, and case managers. IPAR offers an on-site physician team with both a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) doctor and an Internal Medicine doctor who coordinate clinical needs.

Our facility serves patients with a variety of conditions; the most common diagnoses are neurological disease or injury and orthopedic conditions.

• Our team creates individualized plans of care tailored to each patient and strives to create a positive and rewarding experience as they work toward their rehab goals.

Providing occupational therapy for a designated group of patients, including evaluations, modalities, and treatments. Responsible for the care of patients treated by certified occupational therapist assistants, rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers.

• Minimum Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy.
• Minimum Experience:
  
  New graduates of Occupational Therapy programs are eligible.
• Minimum Licensure/Certification by law:
  Current GA license as Occupational Therapist.
• Additional: BLS certification required.
