Lab Assistant, PRN
Location:
Piedmont Eastside
Position:
Lab Assistant, PRN – part-time (Part-time, flexible hours)
PEM laboratory at Piedmont Eastside supports patient care across North and South Campus with advanced diagnostic services across hematology, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, microbiology, and pathology. The laboratory is staffed by a multicultural team of highly skilled professionals.
Responsibilities- Perform venipunctures and obtain/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
- Assist in sample handling and data entry for laboratory services.
- High School graduate or GED (minimum education)
- Entry level experience
- One year of experience as a phlebotomist is preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of venipuncture/phlebotomy is preferred.
- Experience working in a hospital is preferred.
