Cardiac Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Inpatient Surgical OR Eastside

Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) is recruiting for a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join the Vascular Surgical Service line team working at our Piedmont Eastside campus located in Snellville, GA. This is a full-time position. Shifts are 10 hours, 4 days a week with varying call responsibilities. This position may also occasionally provide some in-patient cross coverage for other cardiovascular service lines such as cardiology.

• Perform OR first assist duties
• Round on patients in the hospital
• Assist in management of post‑operative and critically ill patients
• Evaluate Cardiovascular patients in the office setting
• Apply specialized skills and knowledge related to the care of patients in intensive care areas.
• Contribute to excellence in patient care, research, teaching, consulting and provides leadership to the organization

• Masters, Bachelors degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification

• Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification and RNFA certification

Previous Vascular Surgery with operative experience preferred. Will consider those with previous cardiovascular experience and an operative interest.
