Cardiac Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant – Inpatient Surgical OR – Eastside. Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) is recruiting for a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join the Vascular Surgical Service line team working at our Piedmont Eastside campus located in Snellville, GA. This is a full-time position. Shifts are 10 hours, 4 days a week with varying call responsibilities. This position may also occasionally provide some in-patient cross coverage for other cardiovascular service lines such as cardiology.

• Perform OR first assist duties
• Round on patients in the hospital
• Assist in management of post-operative and critically ill patients
• Evaluate cardiovascular patients in the office setting
• Apply specialized skills and knowledge related to the care of patients in intensive care areas
• Contribute to excellence in patient care, research, teaching, consulting and provide leadership to the organization

• Minimum:
  Master’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited PA program and National Board Certification; OR licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as an NP by State of Georgia with National Certification and RNFA certification
• Previous vascular surgery with operative experience preferred; will consider those with previous cardiovascular experience and an operative interest
