RN – Ortho/Neuro, Days
Schedule:
3x12, 7a‑7p; 6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks.
Location:
Piedmont Eastside, Snellville, GA.
17‑bed hybrid unit specializing in acute CVAs, TIAs, and post‑operative care for knee, hip, and spinal surgery patients, as well as general medical/surgical admissions.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients throughout the lifecycle, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, while maintaining standards of practice and coordinating patient care of all staff.
- Perform patient assessments, including physical, psychosocial, and health history data collection.
- Evaluate developmental age when assessing, treating, and educating patients/families.
- Formulate care plans, identify additional information needed, and make care decisions based on identified needs and expected outcomes.
- Carry out care plans to achieve desired outcomes.
- Provide patient‑specific care appropriate to severity of condition.
- Oversee activities of ancillary and support team members.
- Identify teaching opportunities and provide resources to meet patient educational goals.
- Communicate issues to Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager, and/or physician as appropriate.
- Document patient care and concerns in the patient record.

- Graduate from a nursing program (required)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- No experience required; new graduates of a nursing program eligible (required)
- Nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred
- One year in a hospital setting for PRN positions required
- RN – Registered Nurse – Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure (current in Georgia) – required
- BCLS – Basic Life Support – required
- Advanced certification in specialty field, if applicable (see addendum)
- Cardiac Tele: ACLS certification required within 180 days
- Critical Care: ACLS certification required within 180 days
- Dialysis: CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate) preferred
- Emergency Department: ACLS and PALS certification required within 180 days
- Infusion/Oncology:
Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required upon hire - Pediatrics: PALS certification required within 180 days
- Surgical Services:
Pre‑Op/PACU/ENDO/CSU – ACLS; PALS if pediatric; BLS required within 180 days - Women’s Services:
Labor and Delivery ACLS; NRP, AWHONN, etc. required within 180 days
