The LABOR & DELIVERY REGISTERED NURSE (RN) is a qualified nurse who provides care to adolescent or adult female patients during the childbearing process. Responsibilities include assessment, nursing interventions, maternal and fetal monitoring, patient education, and collaboration with the health care team. Requires current RN license in Georgia, 1+ year experience in labor & delivery, CPR, BLS, and compliance with facility policies.

Graduated from an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
LicensureValid, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice (Georgia).
ExperienceOne year of experience as an RN in a Labor & Delivery Unit within the last three years.
CredentialsCurrent CPR (at least BLS level); NPR/NALS; and other health and screening tests as required.
Work EnvironmentVarious client facility settings; possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other infectious materials.
RepresentativeDuties & Responsibilities
- Comply with ATC policies and client facility nursing procedures.
- Conduct individualized patient assessment and monitoring.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and evaluate individualized plan of care.
- Perform appropriate treatments and therapies as ordered.
- Carry out maternal and fetal monitoring per protocols.
- Provide patient and family education.
- Document assessments and interventions.
- Initiate emergency measures according to resuscitation protocols.
- Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA.
- Care in a non‑judgmental, culturally sensitive manner.
- Advocate for patient rights related to advance directives and organ donation.
- Report patient conditions to appropriate personnel during each shift.
- Maintain competency by participating in continuing education.
- Adhere to ethical conduct and professional nursing standards.
- Delegate effectively and appropriately.
