Do you have an eye for detail and an aptitude for bringing clarity to complex commitments?

Are you a natural collaborator who thrives on keeping high-stakes commitments on track?

We are looking for a Regulatory Commitments Lead, to be the central custodian of our regulatory promises. As Regulatory Commitments Lead you will maintain a live, comprehensive database of all SEW commitments-serving as the organisation's single, reliable source of truth. You won't just track data; you'll partner with stakeholders across the business to establish clear ownership, define realistic timelines, and drive deliverable outputs.

Your core purpose is to ensure every commitment is fulfilled to the complete satisfaction of our regulators, all while keeping our customers firmly at the heart of everything we do.

Main responsibilities:

Database management:
Create, implement, and maintain a comprehensive and live database of all SEW regulatory commitments.

Cross-functional collaboration:

Partner with teams across the wider business to agree on delivery timelines, clear accountability, and measurable outputs.
Regulatory delivery:
Monitor progress to ensure all commitments are executed to the complete satisfaction of the regulator.
Customer focus:
Work with delivery teams to ensure the execution of commitments translates into the best possible outcomes for our customers.
Tracking & reporting:
Establish robust monitoring processes, driving internal meetings to review milestone progress and resolve delivery challenges.
Risk assurance:
Proactively identify potential risks to commitment delivery and collaborate with business owners to develop mitigation strategies.
Evidence gathering:
Administer the collection and archiving of compliance evidence to support internal governance, external audits, and regulatory reporting.

You'll need:
Skills / Qualifications / Experience

Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile) or compliance management are beneficial

Data & detail management:
High attention to detail with the capability to manage, update and leverage complex commitment databases.

Stakeholder engagement:
Great interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and drive accountability across the wider business.

Project management:
Strong organisational skills to oversee multiple timelines, tasks, and competing priorities.

Communication:
Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical regulatory requirements into clear, actionable business goals.

Solution-oriented: A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and collaborative problem-solving.

Database design and setup:
The capability to construct databases and develop scorecards is not essential but would be an advantage.

Professional experience in a regulated industry (preferably in utilities or water sectors) is a significant advantage.

Employees are required to be flexible and to be prepared to perform duties and other tasks within their capabilities. The nature of our business is such that the contents of any job profile are subject to change from time to time.

Grow a career with a meaningful purpose.

You will experience our dedication to equal opportunities and fair treatment for all: through your recruitment, employment and career progression with South East Water.

Benefits package:
