Job Description
Phlebotomist II Floater – Snohomish, WA Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotational weekends.
Certification Requirement: State phlebotomy license. Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, or NV.
COVID-19 vaccination: Proof required.
As a Phlebotomist Floater at Quest Diagnostics, you will perform bedside blood collection and specimen handling across multiple patient service sites. You will also coach and mentor new staff while ensuring compliance with all quality and safety standards.
Pay Range: $26.05 – $30.15 per hour. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus.

- Cover a designated territory to provide phlebotomy duties within a Patient Service Center, doctor’s office, or as business needs dictate.
- Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
- Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
- Enter billing information and collect payment when required.
- Coach, mentor, instruct, and serve as a resource advisor for new employees, acting as the point of contact for on‑site staff and providing input to the group lead or supervisor.
- Travel to additional doctor’s office or Patient Service Center sites when needed.
Required Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience
- Three years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Minimum two years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data‑entry experience.
The position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.
