We are looking to hire 1 barista/FOOD WORKERS IN A FAST PACED ENVIRONMENT to prepare and serve hot and cold sandwiches AND beverages, including various types of coffee and tea. This position will also include food preparation & kitchen work as well, building sandwiches and taking orders! Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and engaged. We are looking for someone with an open schedule, whom is flexible and able to work afternoons and weekends!

You will be required to work at least one weekend day each week & afternoons.

THIS IS NOT A SEASONAL POSITION. WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE THAT CAN WORK YEAR-ROUND. FAST FOOD EXPERIENCE PREFERRED!!!

Barista/Cook responsibilities include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders, preparing & building sandwiches, prepping food, running food out, doing dishes, etc. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge of how brewing & kitchen equipment operates. This a fast paced job and requires multitasking.

You should be able to work various shifts.

Note:

this position’s compensation includes hourly and you will take home tips daily. Ultimately, you’ll ensure an excellent drinking and dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Work Sandwich station & build sandwiches (building sandwiches according to our menu & ingredients)
• Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of dairy and sugar ratios)
• Prepare beverages following our recipes
• Serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries and muffins
• Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
• Keep the bar area clean
• Maintain stock
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Comply with health and safety regulations
• Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
• Run food out to cars
• Bring food to tables
• Bus tables
• CLEANING
• Follow health and safety guidelines
• Food handling, preparation and serving

Requirements

• You MUST have barista and/or kitchen (BOH) experience (6+ months).
• MUST be able to work weekends
• MUST be able to work throughout the year - this is not a seasonal position.
• MUST be 18+
• Maintain a positive attitude & work environment
• High integrity with a great attendance record
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively
• An open and flexible schedule
• Being able to work under pressure
• Must be punctual, presentable, and able to work weekends
• Be comfortable in a kitchen setting
• Ability to work alone and with direction
• Snohomish County food handlers' permit
• Ability to repetitively stoop, squat, bend and reach overhead.
• Desire to produce high quality products in quantities and take pride in what you are making.
• Be able to be on your feet for prolonged periods.
