• Read and interpret utility maps / prints to identify the type and size of underground utilities.
• Operate electronic detection equipment to locate and mark under‑ground facilities within prescribed accuracy limits.
• Use assigned communication equipment to effectively communicate with excavators, utility reps, and company personnel regarding underground facilities.
• Perform light excavation with a shovel to expose buried utilities when necessary.
• Provide accurate documentation and sketches related to all locates completed.
• Receive and respond to excavation notices during normal and after hours in accordance with established time requirements.
• Use a computer or other device to receive, document and close out excavation notices.
• Respond to emergency calls.
• Work weekends, nights, and/or overnight travel as needed.
• Operate company vehicles safely and maintain a professional appearance.
• Perform manhole entry using assigned equipment and safety devices.

• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license (non‑provisional) with an acceptable driving record.

• Routine: work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, use keyboard and mouse.
• Occasional: use portable ladder, work in confined spaces and climb stairs.

$23.00 – $28.00 per hour.
