• Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluation and treatment of inpatients and outpatients consistent with AOTA, state, district, and departmental standards.
• Assess the patient’s OT needs in both inpatient and outpatient settings, for adults and pediatrics.
• Evaluate and document ADL activities, perceptual skills, physical skills, cognitive abilities, and the need for adaptive equipment or assistive devices.
• Develop individualized therapy plans using the problem-oriented record format, including written teaching plans and objectives.
• Consult with physicians and other disciplines to coordinate care and obtain necessary consents.
• Provide skilled OT services at the frequency required to meet goals, including instruction in the use of adaptive and assistive devices.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), provide instructions and documentation, and periodically review their performance.
• Adopt and maintain updated care plans, address preventive splinting and corrective changes, and collaborate with the team for continuity of care.
• Perform all additional duties as assigned by the Rehabilitation Services Director.

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy School approved by the AMA and AOTA.
• Completion of all clinical internships.
• Successful completion of the national registration exam and license to practice in Washington State.

• Minimum one year of experience in adult patient inpatient rehabilitation or hospital setting.
• Experience in outpatient clinic treatment preferred.

• Apply therapeutic skills and techniques effectively.
• Represent the Rehabilitation Services department professionally.
• Collaborate positively with healthcare providers and the public.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.

Hospital inpatient and outpatient therapy settings with potential exposure to infectious diseases and medical emergencies. Outreach activities in the community may be required.

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs with proper technique, lift and position patients, and manage multiple concurrent tasks while interacting with patients experiencing frustration or depression.

Full-time employees scheduled at least 20 hours per week. Waiting period for benefits is the first day of the month following hire.
