Description

The Health and Wellness Supervisor manages and provides oversight for the Purchased and Referred Care Program, Public Health Program, Billing and Transportation Program. The supervisor’s goal is to ensure that operations are efficient, compliant, and meet the strategic objectives of the Snoqualmie Tribe Health & Wellness Department. This position plays a key role in aligning interdisciplinary efforts with Tribal goals to ensure timely service delivery and cultural responsiveness.

Duties
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Purchased and Referred Care (PRC), Public Health, Billing, and Transportation Programs to ensure they meet departmental goals and service standards.
  • Lead and coordinate interdisciplinary teams, ensuring seamless workflows and collaboration across all supervised departments.
  • Support performance monitoring through key performance indicators (KPIs), data analysis, and regular reporting to leadership.
  • Ensure departmental compliance with applicable policies, procedures, AAAHC/CMS/IHS regulations, and Tribal health protocols.
  • Develop and implement operational goals and objectives aligned with strategic priorities of the Health and Wellness Department.
  • Communicate regularly with upper management, staff, and other stakeholders regarding program updates, operational decisions, and performance benchmarks.
  • Oversee and coordinate quality assurance initiatives, risk management reviews, and policy/procedure updates within supervised programs.
  • Monitor budgets, authorize expenditures, and ensure financial accountability in collaboration with the Finance Department.
  • Maintain relationships with external service providers, IHS/PRC coordinators, transportation vendors, and public health partners.
  • Coordinate with HR on hiring, onboarding, and training of staff under direct supervision.
  • Conduct performance reviews and manage any necessary disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure timely, culturally responsive, and respectful service delivery to Snoqualmie Tribal Members and other eligible patients.

Requirements
  • Implementing and enforcing company policies and standards.
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills and written and verbal communication; demonstrated ability to communicate with diverse populations in a courteous, helpful, and clearly understood manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use tact and discretion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Knowledge of Indian Health Service, Purchased and Referred Care, Tribal health policies.
  • Knowledge of Native cultures, history, traditions, and healing ceremonies is strongly preferred.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in health administration or related field.
  • Minimum of three years of healthcare supervisory experience.
  • Experience working in Native communities with families and parents is strongly preferred.
Other Requirements
  • Must be able to pass a thorough pre‑employment background investigation.
  • Must agree to be subject to the Tribe’s Controlled Substance and Alcohol Testing Policy to include pre‑employment screening.
  • Upon hire, successfully complete and maintain defensive driving, fire suppression, passenger assistance, HIPAA, Cultural sensitivity, and child safety seat securement trainings.
Work Environment

The work environment includes an office environment in a controlled atmosphere building. This position also includes frequent driving of a motor vehicle and transportation of clients to and from their homes and their appointments.
